A bright young lady was found dead in her hotel room after getting severely beaten by her boyfriend.
26-year-old Sativa Transue was found lifeless in her room at All Ritmo Resort in Cancun, Mexico, on the morning after she and her boyfriend, 31-year-old Taylor Allen, got into a major fight.
As the texts she had sent to her friends revealed, Sativa was enjoying alcoholic drinks with her boyfriend and having a good time under the sun on Friday afternoon.
Later the same day, however, she once again messaged her friends saying she required stitches following an argument with her boyfriend.
Eventually, the young lady stopped replying to messages, prompting her concerned friends to call the police and beg them to check on her immediately.
On Saturday morning, Sativa’s severely beaten body was discovered by a maid who wanted to clean her room, prompting the authorities to arrest Allen and inform the girl’s family about her passing.
As the 26-year-old’s family says, Sativa was beaten “to a bloody pulp” by her abusive boyfriend who was allegedly known for having an “inner beast” that emerged when he drank.
“She was enjoying the sunshine and her trip was going okay, but not the best, because they were fighting,” Sativa’s sister, Mykayla Bolieu, said in an interview with The Daily Beast.
As her mother, Jayme, added, Sativa was injured by her boyfriend sometime before her premature death when Allen threatened to jump off a balcony.
Worried about the woman’s situation, friends called the police and the FBI on early Saturday morning after she had stopped replying to them. Hours later, they received a shocking call from the consulate informing them that Sativa was found dead.
“I received a call from the Mexican consulate letting me know my daughter has passed away and that she’s been found dead,” Sativa’s mom told the publication.
“How could my beautiful healthy daughter be gone? In another country? It took my breath away. A part of me died. She was my baby. I had her at 16. We grew up together. She was my life, my reason for living, my best friend.”
She added: “My aunt is down there now and has seen the pictures and said she looked like she was beaten to death.”
Following her sister’s tragic passing, Mykayla opened up about Sativa’s case on Facebook as she called for justice.
“Yesterday she was messaging me, showing me the views, snap chatting my daughter Amelia. She told me she wasn’t having the best trip, but she was enjoying the sun,” she wrote.
“Last night she texted her friends, who are amazing by the way. She was in a fight with her boyfriend and they said she had to have stitches.
“This morning her friends were so concerned for her well being that they not only went to the police but then to the FBI to try to help my sister. Unfortunately we got the call around 9am that she passed.
“We know last we heard her boyfriend is in jail in Mexico, and I hope he gets what he deserves. We know that we want justice for our sweet Sativa, and we are taking the steps to get answers.”
She concluded: “I know that my sister will never get to be the maid of honor at my wedding someday. I know that she’ll never get her own wedding. I know that I’ll never hear that contagious laugh again. I know that my sister was taken from us too soon.”
