A woman stormed her ex-boyfriend’s home before setting him on fire in front of three children.
The incident took place in Brisbane, Australia, where an unnamed 31-year-old woman stormed the apartment of her ex-boyfriend, Stanley Obi, just before 3 am on Thursday.
After forcing her way into the residence, the woman reportedly set both her ex-boyfriend and his new lover on fire. In the process, she also caught fire and suffered fatal injuries.
The home quickly caught fire and first responders were forced to hose the man down after arriving at the shocking scene in New Beith.
According to the reports, Obi was rushed to the hospital with burns covering 90 percent of his body. It remains unclear whether he will survive the ordeal or not.
Rushed to the hospital were also Obi’s new girlfriend and the three children that were in the apartment during the attack.
Both the woman and the kids have survived without injuries.
“We’ve not been able to interview the lady and the three children who were fortunate enough to escape and so we are also appealing to any members of the public who were in that area,” Police Superintendent Mark White shortly after the incident.
“We would like to talk to them because we want to endeavor to establish what has occurred there last night and also any background information that may assist with the investigation.”
As the investigation remains ongoing, the police have urged anyone with information about the case or the deceased woman to contact the Logan District CIB.
