Heartbreaking reports have gone on to reveal how a 55-year-old woman was brutally mauled and killed by a pair of foxes in the fields of Scotland.
According to local media outlets, the woman was found dead by authorities in the most tragic manner imaginable.
Her entire body had been mutilated by foxes, right after her vehicle had broken down in the middle of the road, just a mile away from a rural Scottish region.
The woman was recently declared missing by her loved ones who did not know where she was as she failed to make any contact with them.
More details from the tragic incident spoke about how the 55-year-old left her vehicle alone after making an emergency call to a recovery company so they could fix it.
The woman was reported to come from the Scottish city of Airdrie. At the time of the incident, she happened to be waiting for some quick roadside assistance that she hoped would arrive as she tried to walk one mile away from where the car broke down. But little did she know about the horror that awaited her.
Loved ones claim that her body was located a few weeks before Christmas and her stranded vehicle was also found nearby in the western part of the country where the tragedy occurred.
The police also spoke about how they were engaged in a search operation to help locate the woman who went missing.
Officials feared for the worst after they located her car, which was empty, one day before. And then the next day, at about 4 pm in the afternoon, the woman’s body was found near a rural village.
A close source spoke about how the woman died a brutal death while making attempts to cross the fields in the search for help.
