A woman who appeared in the hit reality show Big Brother died suddenly after collapsing in a bar during a night out.

37-year-old Monica Sirianni, who was originally from Sydney, Australia, was a teacher who lived in Italy and rose to fame after appearing in Big Brother Italy Season 12.

In the reality show, the English teacher dated fellow contestant Fabrizio Conti before splitting from the man shortly after the show ended and returning to her job as a teacher.

It was now confirmed by local media that the young lady collapsed at a bar in Sauveria Mannelli, Catanzaro, after falling ill suddenly and unexpectedly.

Sadly, Monica was pronounced dead shortly after she was rushed to the hospital. While foul play has already been ruled out, an investigation into the woman’s death remains ongoing.

Gazzetta del Sud has since confirmed that Monica’s body will be returned to her parents in her native Australia following the autopsy.

“I wanted to remember this beautiful girl Monica Sirianni, former competitor of Big Brother and now a teacher,” one person wrote in a tribute to the 37-year-old after the news of her death broke out.

“It doesn’t seem true that she is no longer here,” another said.

A third expressed: “She was so much more than just a Big Brother contestant. She was beautiful inside and out and will be missed terribly.”

Sirianni was born and raised in Australia to Italian parents who lived in Calabria before migrating to Sydney.

As a young adult, Monica visited Italy and made the Mediterranean country her new home. She became an English teacher and went on to appear in the reality show at the age of 25.

While she briefly returned to Australia in between, Monica is believed to have resumed her teaching job in Italy shortly after finding fame on TV.
