Prince Harry is opening up to the public about why he chose to be extra protective of his wife Meghan Markle and give up his royal status.
The Duke of Sussex did not shy away from going public with his justification and how afraid he was that history would end up repeating itself in a manner that he didn’t wish it would.
This is the point where he started to elaborate more upon how his late mother, Princess Diana’s tragedy was a clear reminder to him about how the institution was treating women who married into it.point 437 |
It was a risk that he just couldn’t handle and hence is now opening up more about protecting Meghan in his latest documentary by Netflix, which is scheduled for release this week.point 154 | 1
The new trailer that dropped during the early hours of Monday morning showed Prince Harry being terrified by the great amount of media attention that was directed to Meghan Markle.
“I did not wish for history to repeat itself!”- the prince explained as footage featured cameras flashing in all directions.
These cameras had their eyes on Harry, and Meghan, and then a feature was directed towards showing how his mother Diana was also forced to go through the same.
It all echoed a very similar sentiment that Prince Harry was making through his docuseries published on Apple TV.
“My biggest regret is me not taking a chance or making a stance during the early part of my relationship with my wife”- the Duke of Sussex continued.
The real shocker came when Harry opened up about how his late mom was chased by the press because she was in a relationship with someone that was not white and the end was tragic.
“It is incredibly triggering for me to possibly lose another woman in my life, and the list is growing”- he concluded.
