The star professional basketball player was deemed guilty by the Russian court of law for possessing a small amount of cannabis which she claims was prescribed to her by her doctors.point 388 |

The news sent shockwaves around the nation as this was not something that many people were expecting at all.

According to sources, the incident took place on February 17 of this year when Griner was on her way to Moscow to play for the country’s team but little did she know that her journey would come to an end in the most shocking way.

Cherelle Griner shared the message on a live morning show recently. She said that the WNBA superstar strongly felt that her life did not matter to anyone anymore in the country.

She also said that her basketball player wife had come to the point of her detriment.

“She is just so afraid that people will leave her and forget about her in Russia and knowing that is just hard to sleep at night”- the star explained.

The wife says she’s optimistic that the country’s leaders will come through and make a way for her release. She concluded by adding how her partner is totally innocent and would never do something like this intentionally.
