The wife of the ex-college football star who was tragically killed alongside their two children ‘is aware that she’s lost her family’.
Zach Muckleroy and his two children Judson, 12, and Lindsey, 9, died in a horror car accident on November 22.
The incident occurred on Highway 281 while the family was driving to Central Texas to celebrate Thanksgiving.
In a heartbreaking statement, the former TCU player’s company Muckleroy and Falls Construction Company said: “It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of our beloved CEO, Zach Muckleroy, and his two children, Judson and Lindsay.”
The statement said that the father-of-two “had a charitable heart that made lasting impacts on the Fort Worth Community. He treasured his family and was a proud alumni of TCU.
“He was passionate about the construction industry and led the Muckleroy & Falls team with a calming demeanor.
“He will be greatly missed.”
The statement added: “We ask that you keep his wife, Lauren, parents, Harold & Pat, siblings, Alyson & Steve Gasper, and David & Madison Muckleroy in your prayers.”
Muckleroy’s wife, Lauran, was airlifted to hospital in critical condition.
A fourth person was killed in the accident but the name has yet to be released.
Hundreds of people attended the vigil held for the family on November 24. Many children also wrote heartfelt messages to Lindsay and Judson.
Sharing condolences on social media, former TCU Coach Garry Patterson wrote: “With a heavy heart I just wanted to follow up with any of you that hadn’t heard that last night we lost a great Horn Frog, husband, dad, and friend Zach Muckleroy, and their two children Lindsay and Judson in a head-on collision.”
