President Biden was recently seen delivering a speech in honor of teacher’s day where he shed light on the need for some serious changes to gun laws.
According to local media outlets, the President says it’s time that assault weapons were banned across the nation, a reinforcement of his previous statements that called for similar changes a few months before.
Biden appeared very determined to bring about change and a full ban on such assault weapons in the nation as a part of his administration’s plan to carry on with the ‘Safer America Plan.’ This is designed to keep dangerous firearms out of communities, sources have confirmed.
Biden was also seen boldly declaring how it’s time we use commonsense and handle such matters diligently before it gets too late.
This requires a complete background check for all sales of weapons to help keep weapons out of the hands of felons and those responsible for conducting domestic abuse.
The country’s commander in chief also hoped to see a ban on high-capacity magazines as he says weapons have zero place in American communities and we must act fast to prevent more destruction.
Previously, Biden was seen shifting the blame for a rise in gun violence onto the shoulders of the Republicans, which he faced intense criticism for.
Meanwhile, a recently released statement from the White House has gone on to shed light on how Biden wants the country to do more to reduce crime and save lives.
Biden was seen mentioning the same narrative via a post on his Twitter account. The post has since then attracted hundreds of thousands of likes. And it’s about time, many Americans claim after the horrific mass shooting incident that took center stage in Uvalde High School.
