Shocking footage from yesterday shows gleeful players from the Argentina soccer team singing the controversial Falklands War Chant after yesterday’s game.
The FIFA World Cup saw the Argentinians beat out Croatia and send them packing for their home in a startling 3-0 victory.
But what came out after the game was secret footage where the players were seen whipping off their shirts and singing a popular new song.
It entails the line that was very controversial and a direct offense to the English squad including f**king English in the Falklands, I don’t forget.
The players were in the highest of spirits and were boasting of their victory by all means. But the reference made in their dressing rooms is being looked upon as a huge insult to the English and has fans as startled as can be.
Lionel Messi’s teammates took off their shirts and started to mock the likes of Brazil and England for their poor performance and how this team managed to beat out both of them to reach the final of the tournament in Qatar, making their dream of winning just one step closer.
The song is now turning into a viral sensation and turning popular among fans of the Argentinian nation, which many feel is certainly not good sportsmanship during this time of year and also during a period when spirits should be about spreading love and not hate.
There is also a line in the lyrics that use a derogatory term like putos that describes the English. It has a homophobic meaning and connotation which many feel is not alright. It usually has the meaning of cowards, sources boldly declared.
What are your thoughts on the use of such controversial chants during a game of sports that should be more about spreading more love than hate? Let us know and be sure to SHARE the story with others too.
