A haunting video retracing the last known footsteps of a mother-of-two before she vanished into thin air has been released.
Nicola Bulley, 45, had just dropped her young daughters off at school on January 27 before taking their family dog for a walk in Lancashire.
Her disappearance was noticed by a passerby who found the dog running alone by the River Wyre in the village of St. Michael’s.
According to reports, the passerby also found the dog’s harness, lead, and Nicola’s phone – which was still connected to an active conference call.
Specialist diving teams continue their attempts to trace Bulley by going back to the river bank near the bench with a 20-ft long probe attached to an underwater camera.
Helicopters, dogs, drones, and a specialist underwater unit carrying oxygen tanks searched area.
Now, a haunting video that shows Bulley’s last known movements has been released by Daily Mail.
According to the news outlet, her family described the route as clockwork for the missing mom. She parked her vehicle there ‘1000 times’ as walking there was a part of her everyday routine.
Other dog walkers would have been noticed her because of her attire.
The publication reported that around 8:50 am, Nicola and her dog would have walked past the grounds of the Grade I St. Michael’s Church. They would then stroll past a side street by the church, cross over the River Wyre, and go on a narrow path by the river.
Nicola’s dog interacted with another canine at that time, and around 8:50 am she sent an email to her manager before joining a conference call eight minutes later.
At 9:01am, she and her dog passed through a metal gate and arrived to the wooden bench where she was last seen.
She then joined the Teams call but her mic and camera had been muted.
Ben Pociecha, the director of Exclusively Mortgages, said there was nothing strange about Bulley not being on the screen.
“It seems as if she was muted and didn’t have her camera on. She was listening in whilst walking her dog,” Nicola’s boss said.
“There were numerous parties involved in this. A lot of people attended the call. The police are investigating the call.”
At 9:20 am, the mother is believed to have been spotted by an elderly man who was still in the area around half an hour later.
The conference call reportedly ended at 9:30 am but she stayed logged on.
30 minutes later, a woman told the pensioner that the dog was found alone on the river bank.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, the local said: “I know the woman who found Willow. She said the dog was near the river bank and close to the bench that Nicola’s phone was found.”
At around 10:30, Nicola’s partner Paul Ansell was contacted by the primary school informing him that she was missing after their dog was found alone.
