Mary Poppins star Dick van Dyke has crashed his car into a gate in Malibu after he reportedly lost control of his Lexus LS 500.
The 97-year-old was left with a bloody nose and mouth and concussion after his vehicle skidded in the rain and crashed into the gate.
According to TMZ, the horrific crash happened on Wednesday morning, with police rushing to the scene and finding the legendary actor behind the wheel.
Dick informed the police that he lost control of the car after it skidded in the rain before it slammed into the gate.
This comes almost ten years after the actor was rescued from his burning Jaguar in Los Angeles.
Fortunately, the 97-year-old came away from the latest incident with minor injuries and didn’t have to go to the hospital after paramedics treated him at the scene.
A source told the news outlet that Dick possibly suffered a concussion after the accident. They also said that alcohol and drugs were not involved but police have submitted documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles to request a driving retest for the actor.
Police reportedly cited his age as one of the reasons for submitting the paperwork.
After the crash, someone picked Dick up so he didn’t have to drive back home from the scene.
The incident came almost ten years after he was rescued from his Jaguar, which caught fire on the 101 freeway on August 19, 2013.
It was Jason Pennington who noticed his smoking vehicle on the side of the road and pulled the actor out.
The actor did not need medical attention after the incident but he seemed to be slightly disoriented.
