A law enforcement operation in New Orleans has led to the discovery of five missing teens with the arrest of more than 30 felony offenders.
According to local media reports, the operation was recently conducted by the US Marshals Service and was made public in a press release that spoke about how the annual multi-agency initiative was carried out between the months of October and December.
The operation was dubbed Operation Boo Dat and authorities have gone on to reveal how 17 of those arrested included those that had been accused of carrying out sexual assault against young teens.
“They have been accused of conducting felony sex offender registration violations,” a spokesperson revealed.
Now, details about the identities of the missing teenagers are being revealed where authorities claim that they are all girls whose ages range between 14 and 17, as mentioned in the news release.
On Monday, the US Marshals spoke about how one of the men arrested was wanted to r*ping a 12-year-old female victim in an abandoned residence located on the West Bank of New Orleans.
Meanwhile, another man arrested was booked for alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old female in the San Patricio County in Texas, as stated by the US Marshals.
In regards to the discoveries of the missing females, one was a victim who ran away from home by stealing her relative’s vehicle, along with a handgun to protect herself.
That same girl was found inside a residence with numerous adults and a strip club dancer too revealed one service agent for the US Marshals.
Two other discoveries included a sister duo who was 15 and 16 years old and were reportedly found in an apartment that was located in Baton Rouge.
The US Marshals confirmed how the operation was conducted as a joint collaboration with the Police and they were very positive about the results that it has managed to bring about.
