Tragic final images are surfacing online of foreign exchange students belonging to the US that were recently crushed in a harrowing and tragic Halloween stampede.
According to reports from local media outlets, the young souls were smiling and laughing and posing for selfies. But little did they know that this would be their last image together as they would be torn apart forever.
The duo was believed to have dressed up for Halloween and made their way into narrow alleys to celebrate the occasion. But due to it being overcrowded, the people at the top began to fall downhill on the people at the bottom.
Witnesses described the scenes to be very similar to the dominoes effect where one fall led to another and so on and so forth.
The victims of the tragic incident were identified as Anne Gieske and Steven Blesi who were both just 20 in age.
The harrowing incident took place in the country’s largest city of Seoul which is known to be a hustling and bustling location for many tourists and foreign ex-pats.
Just a few hours before the massive stampede took place, Gieska shared her images online with her fans and loved ones and that was her final post forever as she was killed soon afterward.
Gieske was said to be on a foreign exchange program with the American University of Kentucky when the tragedy unfolded.
Now, Gieske and Blesi’s loved ones are mourning their huge loss that has left a huge void in the hearts of both families and friends that knew them well.
Blesi was said to be on a foreign exchange program from the American University of Kennesaw State in Georgia.
Just 30 minutes before the event occurred, his dad had texted him a final message that mentioned, ‘Be Safe’.
