A major airstrike has struck the army headquarters of Russian troops stationed in the Ukrainian region of Luhansk recently.
According to local media reports, a total of 200 Russian paratroopers were confirmed dead by Luhansk’s governor, sparking joy in the country which continues to stand in the line of the war on a daily basis.
Just a few days back, many were killed and more were injured after a strike ordered by Putin’s forces pounded a populated railway station.
This seems to be a major revenge attack for that horrifying tragedy, sources believe.
The exact location for the airstrike against Russian forces was announced to be Kadiivka.
At the moment, Russian forces are busy battling against Ukrainian troops in the eastern part of Ukraine. But many realize that Russian forces will surely avenge the deaths of those killed today. And that’s why the country is always on alert as fears of bigger attacks grow.
The incident took place yesterday during the later hours of the night where terrifying images showed missiles slamming against the building, which was a hotel. It was used as a base by the Russian forces in Kadiivka, the governor confirmed.
The governor mentioned the news through his Twitter handle recently where he wrote: “The Armed Forces of Ukraine hit battlements in occupied Kadiiva, where about 200 paratroopers were killed!”
The alleged strike comes at a time on the Russian Headquarters when the Russian assault against Ukraine on the ground has come to a near standstill as heavy losses have taken place.
It was unveiled how nearly 80,000 Russian troops have lost their lives since the war first began, around six months back.
