A motivational speaker named Brenttany Sharraine is going public about her life as an attractive woman.
She says that being beautiful does not mean having some sort of privilege in this world. In fact, she finds it is the complete opposite and feels life has treated her differently because of her looks.
The woman who hails from New York City mentioned that while getting attention is a norm, if you think it’s all positive, well, it’s far from just that.
The brutally honest video is racking up views in the millions and people can’t help but wonder what it must feel like to be in her shoes.
Brenttany Sharraine adds that her experience with men may be more related to them using her as a trophy while women are all about hating her. And that feeling isn’t too great, she adds.
Sharing her video on TikTok, she explained that being treated differently because of her looks was just wrong and it didn’t feel right to her. Moreover, the worst part for her was seeing her own friends fall out of friendship with her due to her appeal and that’s just something she couldn’t get over.
“While I was growing up, people told me that it was not at all attractive for a girl to know that she was pretty!”- so for that reason, she has been humble and grounded from day one.
“There are no benefits, please let me tell you that. In fact, you have to work twice as hard to prove to people that you are more than just good looks”- she continued.
She also added a disclaimer that other people’s opinions would definitely vary from hers and that’s okay. But she is entitled to feel what she does and that’s what life is all about.
