Basketball player Tristan Thompson, 30, allegedly urged his personal trainer lover Maralee Nichols, 31, to get an abortion and even offered her $75,000 in hush money when she became pregnant while he was dating Khloe Kardashian, court filings claim.
According to documents obtained by Daily Mail, the child was conceived in Texas during the Sacramento Kings star’s 30th birthday celebration in March.
Thompson was still dating the KUWTK star at that time.
Nichols from Houston has since moved to Los Angeles and is now suing Thompson for child support, pregnancy-related costs, and reimbursement of medical expenses.
She also revealed text messages between her and her child’s father as evidence for her paternity lawsuit which allegedly show that Thompson wanted her to get an abortion, according to Page Six.
Nichols’ attorneys claim that the communications reveal Thompson “addressing the parties’ relationship” and “insisting that she get an abortion and threatening that she will get next to nothing with lesser support requirements in Texas.”
In the text message obtained by Radar, the basketball player allegedly offered Nichols $75,000 in hush money and warned that he was retiring after his NBA season. He also said that he had no plans to be involved in their child’s life.
“You know how I feel. My feelings haven’t changed at all. Won’t be involved at all. Btw if you think having this baby is gonna make you some money. It’s completely wrong,” the text message read.
“You are aware that I’m retiring after this season. So in terms of support it will be whatever is required monthly or someone who’s unemployed,” the message continued.
“It’s texas (sic) so it will be only a couple hundred dollars. So you better off taking this 75k I’m offering cause you won’t get nothing near that with having a kid with a father who’s unemployed.”
Thompson denied sending the text messages but claims his “contact information is present” in them.
In the declaration included in the paternity suit, he acknowledged having s*x with Nichols numerous times at a hotel after they went to a party together.
At that time, he was still dating ex-girlfriend Khloe Kardashian and had celebrated his birthday with her only days earlier.
