Trans patients who reportedly underwent gender change operations are opening up for the first time in regard to their regrets linked to the procedure.
The whole concept of changing your gender has to do with your mental well-being and how well you’re guided or counseled about the matter. But a few trans patients are now breaking their silence on how the matter was just not something that they should have gotten themselves into in the first place.
They’re blaming all those doctors who literally rushed and forced them to undergo countless surgeries as their final resort to all of their problems.
Today, we’re discussing the heartbreaking matter involving patients named Ritchie and Amber. They were recently reported as opening up about their struggles related to the matter and how much they’re regretting the whole procedure.
“We were rushed into it. We have to say that we shouldn’t have blindly followed what others had to say. It’s not something that we or anyone else should have to go through”- they continued.
The testimony of such patients is being hailed as something that’s awfully brave because it’s very rare that you come across such stories where people are having the courage to open up and admit the great mistakes that were made.
But experts feel this will pave the way for others to think twice before making such a drastic decision that can have serious implications on the quality and well-being of their lives.
In this case, they were forced to de-transition because they felt stuck and as if their world was coming crashing down.
“People must understand that such a surgery is so invasive and once done, it can never be 100% reversed to normal. There will always be a part of you that has changed forever and we don’t want others to feel as regretful as us”- they add.
