A teenage civilian is being hailed as a true hero by Ukraine’s military forces after he smartly made use of his toy drone to detect an advancing convoy of Russian forces that were making their way towards the country’s capital city of Kyiv.
According to local media reports, thanks to the boy’s smart thinking and brave efforts, the advancing convoy was shattered and destroyed after they failed to put up a stern fight against Ukraine’s army.
While the incident is believed to have taken place during the early days of the war, it’s interesting to see these kinds of reports make their way, showing how young kids were also well aware of the turmoil that their nation was being thrown into for no reason by the Russians.
The boy was identified as 15-year-old Andrii Pokrasa who is believed to be living on the outskirts of the capital city of Ukraine. He says that he wished he could defend his country one day, the same way that the current Ukrainian troops are doing.
After figuring out his great effort and bravery, sources claim that authorities in Ukraine approached the teenager and asked him about his mini drone that he randomly bought last year.
Little did this child know that he’s innocent purchase would end up saving so many of his fellow citizens’ lives in the end.
Pokrasa is said to have released his drone into the darkness of the skies at a field that was nearby. He used it to capture some images and that’s when he noticed the advancing Russian convoy with appropriate GPS coordinates.
His father then made use of these coordinates by sending them to Ukraine’s military, who cleverly planned their attack and destroyed the convoy.
