Tragic reports from Newcastle confirmed the gruesome findings of a toddler who was reportedly found soaked in his mother’s blood.
The incident is being looked upon as a grisly murder scene that is stated to have shocked even the most hardened senior police officials.
21-year-old Mackenzie Anderson passed away from intense stab wounds, where the horrifying incident was stated to have occurred right outside her residence during the late-night hours n Newcastle.
Police rushed to the scene of the crime, only to lay their eyes on a helplessly crying toddler that was covered in blood.
The incident was referred to as absolutely horrendous and incomprehensible by one of the senior officers that arrived for the response.
At the moment, the 21-year-old mother’s former husband is under armed guard at a hospital, as explained by the police.
22-year-old Tyrone Thomspon has been arrested by the police from the scene as they believe he had broken into his former partner’s home and carried out her murder.
Sources spoke about how the young mother was actually a recovering drug addict. She shared her life’s struggles on social media, where she explained in detail how she was using meth since the age of 16.
Cops revealed how the tragic incident soaked her toddler in blood, shocking police as well as paramedics.
When police officers arrived, they found Mackenzie lying dead on the floor, covered in her own blood and with horrific injuries.
Investigations into the tragic incident are currently taking place and police are waiting for more details to emerge.
It is still not known whether the toddler found at the scene was Thompson’s child or not. Thankfully, he was not injured in the incident, as revealed by authorities.
