Tragic reports are speaking about a young toddler who reportedly swallowed a battery that exploded inside of him.
The child is now currently battling for his life after consuming the battery, leaving his parents heartbroken.
Dylan Alejandro was battling for his life after he reportedly swallowed the battery. Sources revealed how that caused his esophagus to burn. The terrifying incident took place at his residence in Cananea in the southern part of Mexico.
The battery was believed to have exploded inside his body after he swallowed, and that is what led to the emergency condition.
His loved ones reveal how they did not see the child actually swallow the poisonous substance. But when they saw Dylan having difficulty breathing and showing some more dangerous symptoms, they knew something was very wrong.
Hence, they chose to quickly rush him over to a local nearby hospital and take the doctor’s opinion.
After seeing his condition worsen with each passing time, the medical experts opted to shift him over to another bigger medical facility that’s located in the country’s state capital, Hermosillo.
Soon, he was diagnosed with being severely ill and the child’s x-ray is what revealed the final diagnosis. The battery swallowed managed to damage his lungs too and that caused an immediate life-threatening infection.
On October 23, he was reportedly admitted to the hospital’s intensive care unit. And that’s when medics reportedly witnessed his blood and how it was not processing any form of oxygen.
It all proved to be so alarming and devastating for the child’s family as they had to wait for his blood levels to become saturated before surgeons would be allowed to perform the surgery to save him.
Now, the child’s family is asking for financial assistance as they can no longer fund his hospital stay and surgery to save his life.
