Star Hobson’s mother has been ordered by the court to face four more years in prison, bringing her jail time up from 8 to 12 years.
Sources revealed how the judge called out the previous sentencing as being too lenient and for that reason, it needed to be adjusted.
Frankie Smith was reportedly convicted of allowing the death of her young child through the hands of her evil bouncer girlfriend.
Moreover, a jury even cleared her of murder but in December of last year, it was revealed how she would be forced to serve up to 8 years behind bars.
Meanwhile, the mother’s girlfriend has been convicted of carrying out the tragic murder of the 16-month-old toddler named Star Hobson.
The news of the mother’s recent change in sentencing comes at a time after it was sent to the court of appeal to be evaluated as the Attorney General held great reservations when the verdict was announced.
Star Hobson was violently attacked before her death which took place at her residence in Keighley in West Yorkshire.
The woman responsible for the toddler’s injuries was identified as Savannah Brockhill who is serving her 25-year-old jail sentence. At the moment, there are no reports regarding any appeals made against her prison sentence.
Star’s mother will need to serve at least two-thirds of her jail sentence before any consideration can be made regarding her release, sources explained. And that means at the earliest, she would be allowed to leave after 7 years.
Today, Smith was seen making an appearance at London’s Court of Appeal today through a video link, where she was wearing a grey-toned top.
