Tina Turner has shared a heartbreaking tribute to her son Ronnie, who was found dead in his home in Los Angeles.
According to reports, 62-year-old Ronnie Turner experienced breathing difficulty but despite concerned neighbors’ efforts to resuscitate him, he was declared dead at the scene.
The cause of death hasn’t been revealed and it is not clear whether his untimely death was related to his cancer diagnosis.
His heartbroken mother took to Instagram and shared a black-and-white photo of herself, writing: “Ronnie, you left the world far too early.
“In sorrow, I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son.”
Ronnie’s death comes only four years after Turner’s older son, Craig, took his own life in July 2018.
Police rushed to the LA home on Thursday morning after someone reported that the 62-year-old was struggling to breathe.
Paramedics also arrived and found neighbors attempting to revive Ronnie. But all of their efforts failed and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His grieving wife, Afida Turner, posted a tribute to her late-husband, whom she described as a ‘true angel’ with a huge soul.
“I did the best to the end this time,” she wrote. “I was not able to save you.”
She also said that Ronnie was her ‘best friend, my baby,’ and she was his ‘mummy, your nurse,’ adding that she has loved him for 17 years.
The couple tied the knot in 2007 after Ronnie starred alongside his mother in the 1993 biopic What’s Love Got To Do With It.
“This is very, very, very bad, I am very mad,” she expressed. “This is a tragedy, [you] with your brother Craig and your father Ike Turner and Aline.”
She concluded: “So unfair.”
