Game Of Thrones star Thor Bjornsson and wife Kelsey Henson revealed that their daughter was stillborn in a heartbreaking statement.
The actor and former World’s Strongest Man took his fans by surprise as he shared heartbreaking photos of him and his wife in the hospital after their baby girl was stillborn at 21 weeks of pregnancy.
“It is with great sorrow that we announce the birth of our daughter, Grace Morgan Hafthorsdottir born Nov 8th at 21 1/2 weeks gestation,” the strongman and his wife revealed in their post.
“After a noticeable decrease in movement, we found out her heart had stopped beating. Words cannot describe our pain of this loss or our happiness at being able to spend time with our daughter.”
Their tear-jerking statement continued: “She is absolutely beautiful, with blonde lashes and brows and a little smile for mom and dad.point 408 |
The love we feel for her is overwhelming.point 34 | The grief we feel will be with us forever but so will the love.point 84 | All of our hopes and dreams for her have been taken away from us but I know I will be with her again.point 163 | 1
“Her spirit lives on through us and her siblings. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time as we grieve this unbearable loss. Thank you all for any kind words and support.”
The tragic news comes just two and a half weeks after the couple, who already share a 3-year-old son, Stormer, announced that they were expecting their second child.
“Life is precious and I couldn’t be happier to announce that our family is growing bigger,” they shared in October.
“Kelsey is 19 weeks pregnant with a healthy child who we cannot wait to meet! Ps @kelc33 doesn’t wanna know the gender this pregnancy so you all gotta wait just like me!”
