Popular singer and host Kelly Clarkson shocked so many people when she admitted on live television what she does to discipline her children.
The celeb confirmed that she does resort to spanking when she’s in the mood of teaching her children some discipline and to stop them from misbehaving. And as you can expect, so many fans and followers just couldn’t believe it.
A lot of people felt the punishment was too harsh and a mother should never resort to violence to train her kids. After all, they’re picking these things up from childhood and would end up doing the same with others when they grew up.
Many frowned upon the news and social media became alert with the confirmation. A new debate began where the starlet was called out for her poor parenting skills and advised to seek therapy to better her motherhood journey.
“Yes, it’s probably not the best thing or something I’m proud of. But yes, I do it!”- she revealed on national television.
The news went viral after the celeb’s interview on Atlanta station. “I don’t mean hitting them hard but what I mean is a little spanking never hurt!”- she further elaborated. And that didn’t go down well as many felt she was justifying the behavior instead of admitting she was wrong to do it in the first place.
In case that was not enough, the celebrity went on to add how her parents spanked her during her childhood years and she turned out to be just fine in life.
“I don’t know why people think that’s wrong or something!”- she explained further.
