Two mothers from Texas have reportedly been charged for abandoning their six children and leaving them in a horrifying condition that endangered their survival.
The kids were found by authorities in a horrifying state, covered in dirt and lice. In the same way, it was revealed how the kids were forced to eat their own feces for survival.
“One of the young kids was left with no choice but to eat his own waste”- the authority mentioned.
The suspects were identified as 28-year-old Riccy Padilla Hernandez and 34-year-old Yures Molina who both hails from Houston in Texas.
They were reportedly charged for endangering the children who all happened to be under the age of 10, as revealed by local media sources.
Padilla’s kids were 2,3, and 7 while Molina’s kids were 1,8, and 9. However, authorities claim that it’s still unclear whether or not these two women were friends or relatives but it has been revealed how they both lived underneath the same roof.
On Wednesday, officials retrieved the children after one maintenance worker made reports to the police how a young girl was seen wandering near the pool area all alone.
He even spoke about how the child happened to be barefoot and malnourished too. And that’s when police officers from the Houston Police Department rushed to the scene.
The young child’s older brother led the officers to the home and that’s where the rest of the kids were found in unbelievably unhygienic and poor living conditions.
One police report went as far as mentioning how the kids’ hair was infested with lice and all of them appeared as they had not been showered or looked after for so long.
Clear signs of neglect were evident, leaving officers baffled beyond belief.
One of the kids was also discovered to be a special needs child who couldn’t be left to care for himself, as revealed by investigators.
