The 18-year-old gunman who killed 19 children and two teachers at a Texas elementary school sent bone-chilling messages to a 15-year-old girl in Germany before the attack.
According to reports, Salvador Ramos used an AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle when he went to Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.
Before the massacre, he shot his grandmother over an argument about his phone bill.
The 15-year-old girl from Germany revealed that Ramos sent her Facebook messages minutes before the attack.
She said that the gunman called her and told her he loved her before shooting his grandmother.
“Ima do something to her rn (right now),” Ramos wrote in a message sent at 11:10 Texas time.
A few minutes later, he wrote: “She’s on the phone with AT&T abojt [sic] my phone…It’s annoying.”
At 11:21 am, Ramos sent his final messages: “I just shot my grandma in her head.” He then added: “Ima go shoot up a elementary school.”
The girl from Frankurt, Germany said to CNN that she had met Ramos online on May 9. They only knew each other through social media.
She said that Ramos had sent her his photo and that he promised to visit her this summer.
Ramos killed 19 fourth-graders and their teachers with guns he bought legally after his 18th birthday.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott said Ramos had no known mental health or criminal history.
“Ev*l swept across Uvalde yesterday. Anyone who shoots his grandmother in the face has to have evil in his heart,” he said.
“But it is far more evil for someone to gun down little kids. It is intolerable and it is unacceptable for us to have in the state anybody who would kill little kids in our schools.”
