Two teenage girls aged 15 and 16 have been arrested and charged after they smashed a grandmother’s head on an MTA bus.
The teenagers were reportedly taken into custody after slamming the 57-year-old woman’s head on a Queens MTA bus after she declared that she is a fan of former President Donald Trump.
Another person was involved but it is not clear whether there will be another arrest.
According to reports, three teenagers were walking on the southbound Q52 MTA bus in Woodhaven at 7 pm when they approached the victim and smashed her head.
The New York Police Department shared a footage showing the three suspects walking down a street. One had light pink-colored hair while two had green. They were wearing crop tops, shorts and sneakers while carrying bags and other items.
The grandmother was identified as Jill LeCroix, who told the New York Post: “Before they hit me, the girl with the green hair said, ‘You probably like Trump! Don’t you?’ I said, ‘I love him.’ I didn’t see which one hit me first.”
LeCroix’s daughter also said: “The one with the green hair, she was saying she hates white people, the way they talk, hates white skin, the way their skin cracks. Saying she was gangsta.”
The grandmother recalled being the only white passenger on the bus.
“By the time we started passing St. John’s Cemetery on Woodhaven, she started in on me, saying, ‘That’s where I’m going to bury you!’ She had a bag from Bath and Body Works, and she took out a scrub and said she was going to beat me with it.
“It was a tangerine. She said, ‘You’re going to get what you deserve! All white people are going to get what they deserve.’”
The grandmother needed three staples to close her wound on the head.
