A teenage boy was shot dead while visiting his relatives abroad together with his mother.
14-year-old Adil Khan from Bradford, England, was vacationing in Pakistan together with his mother after the pair decided to reunite with their family and visit their homeland.
During their trip, the child was reportedly approached by one or more suspects who shot him dead.
As of this writing, the motive for the brutal shooting remains unclear. The police have since arrested two suspects, and it is believed that the boy may have been their primary target.
“A 14-year-old boy has been murdered In Pakistan while on Holiday. Adil Khan, AGE 14, has sadly passed away,” Janaza Announcements confirmed in an official post.
The teenager’s death took social media by surprise with thousands of users paying the child a tribute while pondering why he was targeted and killed in cold blood.
“What on earth could he have done so wrong to be murdered? Heartbreaking news… yet again! RIP young man. Condolences and prayers to the family and friends,” someone wrote.
“My deepest condolences to all the family an innocent child’s been taken away from his family especially from his mother,” another added.
A third shocked viewer expressed: “How has such an innocent young boy been murdered and for what reason. He’s only 14, what is going on in this world.”
As of this writing, the Pakistani police have yet to name the suspects and identify the motive for the shooting of the British boy.
An investigation remains ongoing.
