It was a moving moment for one young man who recently graduated from university despite being terribly burned in a tragic arson attack.
Sources revealed how the 24-year-old from Texas had 68% of his body burned but he never allowed that to come in his way of studying. He moved on with determination, leaving his past behind him and all the traumas that the incident brought with it.
It was undoubtedly a moving moment for his dear parents who simply failed to hold back their tears while he strutted through the crowds and made his way to attain his degree.
His parents were similarly heard screaming from miles away, you did it! And for him, there could be no better feeling than this, he went on to exclaim.
Zachary Sutterfield was involved in a horrifying arson attack at his own residence which he shared with his fellow college mates. Unfortunately, four of them were killed but he miraculously survived and it’s just an overwhelming feeling he has regarding the incident.
He claims the scars and trauma related to that ordeal from 2018 is one that he can never ever forget, even if he wished to. And now, he’s trying to move on with his life and achievements, one step at a time.
Since the incident took place, he has had nearly 33 different procedures. And each one of them has really been as painful as the next. But he vowed to keep on going because this hardship was not going to put him down.
It was similarly revealed how he stayed in a medical facility for nearly 17 months and that was the most daunting moment of his life.
Today, he’s so grateful to be alive and walking and being able to accept his degree as he grieves the loss of his best friends who tragically died in this terrifying incident.
