Officials in Virginia have confirmed that the six-year-old student who shot and injured his teacher would not be criminally charged.
According to reports from local media outlets, the cops claimed that the child was too young to understand the meaning of the charges, and therefore according to the court of law, he has been set free from the incident.
While the teacher did manage to survive the brutal incident, sources have gone on to mention how she was left terribly injured and fighting for his life. But now, she’s doing so much better.
The teacher reportedly spotted the weapon and the child saw her coming close. Therefore, he was afraid that she would confiscate it and that’s when he made the bold decision to shoot her, sources revealed.
The incident reportedly took place at the Richneck Elementary School in Virginia and it certainly took a lot of people by surprise. This was not something that anyone was expecting. And horror and fear were seen throughout the school as many tried to come to terms with what had just taken place.
But today’s report from the city prosecutor revealed how the young suspected shooter would not be charged.
The teacher named Abby Zwerner is said to be doing alright right now. But she is definitely startled and haunted by what went on that day.
“This is not what you’d expect from a child this young. The parents need to be aware of this as they’re putting so many people at risk”- she added in one of her recent interviews.
