A woman who thought she was suffering from a major illness was found to be reaping the consequences of her shocking actions.
And that entails walking around with a tampon stuck inside of her for two whole years!
The woman says that she made the mistake during her teenage years and always thought this whole time that she was suffering from Lyme disease. But the reality of the matter was just not that.
Doctors told her that she could have suffered from the likes of toxic shock syndrome because that’s what happens when you leave things like this on.
22-year-old Melanie Galeaz who hails from Massachusettes shared her startling story via TikTok because she wants the world to know that yes, she made a stupid mistake but hopes no one else would do the same.
“I wish to educate others because sharing means making people aware. I want the world to be aware!”- she went on to explain.
The TikToker confirms it’s really not her proudest moment in life and she’s okay with the criticism and trolling she is getting as we speak. But hey, at least she has the guts to admit her mistake in front of the world and that is one point that people couldn’t stop applauding her for.
At the age of 14, she started to experience pain related to gynecology but she admits to being shy and never fully letting her doctor know what was the matter.
“I was so embarrassed to tell her everything. I did not know what they would make of it so I hid it. Now that I am older, I feel more comfortable sharing my story and that’s when during the examination, they told me I had a tampon on and I was so embarrassed again!”- she revealed.
