A high school coach in Georgia has reportedly been suspended by the administration for restraining a student who showed up on campus with a loaded weapon.
Reports from local media outlets confirmed how the coach struggled at restraining the student who carried the gun with him at all times. But instead of being grateful for taking stern action at the right time and being observant, the school’s administration has gone on to suspend the coach.
“I certainly do not feel like I have done anything wrong over here”- the coach from Tri-Cities High School revealed.
Coach Kenneth Miller recently gave an interview in public where he revealed, “I only adhered to what the Fulton County’s School Board Policy says you are allowed to do.”
Moreover, Miller even went ahead to claim how the school’s principal had even called him out to her office regarding alarming reports about students coming to campus with guns by their side.
“During that entire process, we located all the guns and we saved so many lives too”- Miller added.
The coach is also said to have confronted one female student that happened to be surrounded by cops. But at that time, neither did the cops nor did Coach Miller realize that the student had a fully loaded weapon with her.
All of a sudden, things escalated to a new high, real quick. And that’s when the coach made a decision to grab the student and restrained her from moving and causing anyone harm.
Only when officers stepped in and took her into custody did he let go of her, sources revealed.
While Coach Miller was initially fired by the school’s administration, the district later intervened and opted to reverse the decision and grant him a suspension instead.
