As the dramatic defamation trial enters into its last week before closure, recent testimony by a hand surgeon says Johnny Depp’s claims about his hand injuries were just not consistent with the type of injury shown.
The surgeon was certain that there was definitely a large piece of the puzzle that didn’t fit into the allegations that Johhny Depp was bringing forward.
The testimony took place on Day 20 of the trial where Dr.point 298 |
Richart Moore who is actually an orthopedic surgeon by profession explained how well he knew the anatomy of the hand and hence was a specialist in regards to injuries and surgeries pertaining to it.point 165 | Therefore, it only made sense for Amber Heard’s legal team to come forward and bring him in to testify.point 256 | 1
At the start of his testimony, the surgeon started to make some big claims and most of them were related to the majorly highlighted drug-fueled argument in which the actor’s fingertips were severed to a great extent.
According to Johnny Depp, Amber Heard threw a giant bottle of vodka at him and that is what led to his fingertip being sliced off.
And while so many began to believe that very story, the new testimony given by the surgeon went on to describe another version that was shocking, to say the least.
Dr. Richard Moore revealed how it was just not possible for an injury like that to take place with a bottle of vodka being thrown at him. Therefore, he dismissed those allegations as baseless.
In case you don’t remember, Amber Heard has long before dismissed Johnny Depp’s claims that she threw a bottle. Instead, the celeb stated how the actor actually crushed it himself using his cellphone.
“Depp said the bottle exploded when it hit him. That was just not possible. His claims were not aligning with the facts and figures that are present in front of us”- the surgeon added.
