The grieving parents of the teenage medical student, who was reportedly plunged into a bathtub filled with acid by her own husband, are speaking out.
According to local media reports, 19-year-old Aminah Hayat passed away after being discovered in her own house which shared with her husband in a residential block.
The devastated parents spoke about how their own beloved daughter had recently cut all ties with her loved ones and opted to live with her new husband, shortly after their marriage. But little did she know about the horror that awaited her.
Aminah was an aspiring surgeon who was killed by her husband named Meraj Zafar in North Parramatta which is located on the western side of Sydney.
The accused has reportedly been charged for the horrifying murder crime after he was presented to the cops on Monday, right after the detectives of the case issued a public appeal.
The victim’s mother and father state how they had little to no contact with their child after she moved in with the alleged murderer, about six months back.
“I love my daughter and I want her back”- they continued to scream and cry in grief during a recent interview with a local media outlet.
Sources have also revealed how the teen had moved to Sydney when she was much younger with her parents. She was currently studying her second year at a medical university, with great hopes and aspirations to become a surgeon.
Just weeks before the gruesome incident, she and her husband tied the knot.
“Everyone wished that she would be a big doctor,” her father grieved. “She always wanted to help people,” he went on to explain in a sorrowful tone.
As of now, investigations into the horrifying case continue after the teen’s body was found submerged inside the acid-filled tub for more than 24 hours.
