A 19-year-old student was found lifeless in his dorm room about ten miles away from the crime scene of the quadruple murders in Idaho.
The body of Luke Morgan Tyler, who went to Washington State University, was found at the Perham Hall dorm at WSU’s Pullman campus on January 22 after police received a call from someone.
There are claims that the teen suffered an ‘inhumane’ and cruel hazing in the Theta Chi frat house only hours before his death.
According to reports, police say they don’t suspect foul play and no cause of death has been released.
The dorm room was only ten miles away from the house where friends Kaylee Gonvalves and Maddie Mogen, both 21, and Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin, both 20, were killed in November.
Perham Hall is also less than a mile from where suspect Bryan Kohbeger lived.
According to reports, Kohbeger was a Ph.D. student in criminology at WSU but there is no suggestion that Tyler’s death was connected to the quadruple murders.
The recent incident further terrified locals who were traumatized by last year’s tragedy.
The petition seeking an investigation into the Theta Chi frat house read: “His death directly followed a long and cruel pledging process allowed by his fraternity, Theta Chi.
“Their inhumane and cruel hazing forced Luke, and many others to do things nobody should ever be forced to do.”
Petition organizer Trevor Michalski demanded the fraternity be investigated right away and ‘shut down.’
It gained more than 9,000 signatures with many friends of Tyler demanding justice.
One person wrote: “No one should ever have to go through what Luke did.
“This cost him his life. This happens in college, on sports teams and high school and more. Hazing should be made illegal across the world and be a punishable crime,” another said.
“My condolences to his family and other families going through this. My daughter was good friends with him and mentioned what a nice guy he was. This could have been prevented.”
