Pro-choice supporters are reportedly going on a strike where they intend to stay away from being intimate as a response to the country’s Supreme Court’s decision to overrule Roe v Wade recently.
According to local media reports, the US has been the center stage of protests and marches against the decision that not too many people saw coming.
Celebrities and other high-profile individuals were seen condemning the decision while the President of the US referred to the calls made by the US justices as some of the most terrible decisions in history.
Now, women are marching in terms of a s*x strike amid thousands of other protesters in New York City recently. These began on Friday, continued on Saturday, and are expected to go as far as including Sunday too.
Demonstrators were seen holding giant signs that featured: “No s*x until we get our rights for abortions!”
In addition to that, social media was abuzz with the same trending topic that included the hashtag ‘s*xstrike’ which slowly became viral in minutes.
Experts believe these protests will reportedly continue throughout the weekend in various major cities of the nation as they occurred throughout the weekend.
“There is a nationwide s*x strike taking center stage and it’s gaining momentum on social media”- stated one critic who added the repercussions of such a historic ruling could have disastrous consequences on the nation as a whole.
For now, the country is on high alert, especially in the capital city of Washington DC, and is trying to prevent any unwanted incident from taking place.
Another protester was seen saying on Twitter the following: “Perhaps a s*x strike would assist men in identifying how important abortion is and how it is a fundamental right for women around the globe. You cannot take that away from us”
