Stephen Boss was found dead at a hotel near his home in a shocking discovery on Tuesday.
The 40-year-old musician, who was better known as DJ ‘tWitch’, served as a DJ for the Ellen DeGeneres Show from 2014 until the talk show’s end.
Earlier this week, the father-of-three and husband to dance teacher Allison took his own life at Oak Tree Motel in Los Angeles.
The shocking news comes just days after the couple celebrated their wedding anniversary by dancing with each other and their kids in front of a Christmas tree.
The passing also comes just a month after Stephen and Allison appeared on the Jennifer Hudson Show and revealed they were planning on expanding their family.
“I think we would love to start trying for another one,” Allison said.
Her husband appeared to agree to the proposition saying: “I love the little babies, I love them. It’s a constant conversation.”
tWitch is survived by his wife Allison and their three children Weslie Renae, 14, Maddox Laurel, 6, and Zaia, 3.
After the father-of-three’s sudden death, his grieving wife has spoken out and told PEOPLE that Stephen was “the backbone of our family” and “the best husband and father.”
“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us,” she said.
“Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him.”
Allison continued: “He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory.”
Our thoughts are with Stephen’s family and friends during this tragic time.
