A friend of the stepfather accused of shooting a 9-year-old girl and disposing of her body has spoken out and defended the accused killer.
31-year-old Justin Stein has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly killing his young stepdaughter, Charlise Mutten, before placing her body in a barrel and driving around Sydney, Australia, in search of a spot to get rid of her body.
Following his arrest, the disgraced stepfather was booked into Silverwater Correctional Facility. Just hours later, he officially requested protection through his lawyer.
As one prison guard has since revealed, the man was wise to seek protection because other inmates are “itching to get their hands on him.”
While the accused killer remains concerned for his safety, one of his close friends has spoken out and insisted he doesn’t believe Stein had killed his stepdaughter because he “doesn’t have a bad bone in his body.”
The friend even went as far as presenting his own theory about what had happened and how the 9-year-old was murdered as he spoke about a “mystery” third-party person.
“I think there’s a mystery person in the car, that no one seems to be talking about. Who is it?” the friend questioned as he appeared on a crime podcast.
“The neighbors heard it, saw it go through the gate. If the neighbors heard and saw it, why didn’t anyone else hear it? That car took the little girl … It’s not hard to work out.”
The wild theory behind the murder of little Charlise comes as the news of her death and her alleged killer has spread wildly through the Silverwater Correctional Facility.
