A heartless mother who reportedly left her asthmatic son to die in the garden has reportedly been jailed for 20 years.

According to reports from local media outlets, Hakeem Hussain passed away after his own mother neglected him and deprived him of his medical health condition.

She chose to lock him out of the home and despite his cries for help, she didn’t pay heed and that is what resulted in his death.

The agonizing case has been on so many people’s minds and just the thought of not giving a child his inhaler to breathe was enough torture to make one think twice if she was truly ever capable of being a mother.

“He died gasping for air while lying in the freezing cold for two whole days until his body just gave up”- the statement inside the court read, leaving plenty in tears.

The suspect named Laura Heath was convicted of conducting gross negligence and manslaughter. Moreover, she has already admitted to her four counts relating to child cruelty that was linked to the child’s death at the family home in Cook Lane.

On Thursday, many citizens breathed a sigh of relief to see the evil mother face the consequences of her shocking and inexcusable actions.

“She prioritized her harmful addictions over her child’s wellbeing and that is what ultimately caused him to die”- the statement in the court continued.

Hakeem’s inhalers were transformed into drug-carrying vessels by the mother who felt no shame while sniffing drugs as she pleaded to be given access into the house.

Images of the mother’s attempt of covering the inhalers with foil and elastic bands went viral on social media, sparking more outrage on the horrifying ordeal.
