Social workers in the United Kingdom are breaking their silence after being slammed by the angry public amid backlash for cases like young Arthur Hughes and Star Hobson’s death.
Both of these young, innocent, and helpless children passed away through the hands of those that should have loved them the most, explained the social workers.
These are two names that have been resounding throughout the country, sparking outrage with the angry public who feel social workers should have done more to prevent such incidents from taking place.
While the public’s stomach continues to turn sick with immense grief, so many social workers claim that it is not their responsibility to keep each and every child in the UK safe.
“It is extremely sad and disturbing to see how cases of this severity are taking center stage but it’s not fair to blame it all on social workers,” explained one person representing the voice of so many workers.
As days go by, questions continue to be asked by many outraged citizens about how so much happened and how parents can indulge in such evil and unbelievable crimes. But it’s also quite obvious that social workers are being put into the spotlight and dragged to the forefront as those responsible.
One expert revealed how the debate continues as these children and their cases required social service intervention but whether or not that was the only way to prevent their deaths is rather questionable.
“These are systematic and societal issues that need responses relating to systematic and societal intervention,” explained another.
The news comes as a recent protest against social services in the streets of London saw people spitting into social workers’ faces for doing very little to save young lives like Arthur Hughes who tragically passed away from a brutal attack by his own stepmom.
