A heartbroken mother was seen releasing the final images of her beloved daughter who died while on her way back home.
According to reports from local media outlets, the young woman was found dead on the side of the pavement after being run over by a speeding drunk driver who mowed her down heartlessly.
She was believed to be holding a bunch of sunflowers that were for her mother but she never ended up giving them to her as she was crushed to death in seconds.
The driver was reportedly found guilty of taking part in the most heartbreaking hit-and-run accident that took the life of 20-year-old Fenella Hawes.
The suspect was identified by the cops as 68-year-old Malcolm Waite who was nearly five times over the legal limit for alcohol and had been given a jail sentence of eight years too.
Meanwhile, a policeman by the name of Callum Walchester who arrested the suspect and brought him forward into police custody mentioned how the suspect was one of the drunkest people that he had ever seen behind the wheel of the car. And in the past 10 years of his career, this may have been the first tragic incident of his kind.
At the time of the crash, the suspect was found with a half-drunk bottle of Vodka by his side.
The victim is now being mourned by her grieving loved ones who recall her for her free spirit and loving personality. They also mentioned how she used to adore nature and hence that explained why she was so keen on returning back home with sunflowers as a precious gift for her mom. But little did she know that she would never be alive to fulfill the deed.
The cops claim the victim had been declared dead by the authorities at the crash scene.
