A horrifying ski incident that took away the life of a young 5-year-old is taking center stage after the alleged suspect involved was reportedly charged for manslaughter.

According to local media reports, the 5-year-old girl was only a beginner and she hailed from the United Kingdom. She was there alongside other young children, trying to learn a sport that many enjoy in the wintertime in the French Alps but little did she or her parents know about the horror that was in store.

The incident took place when a high speeding skier rammed into the young girl in what is being termed as a deadly collision. Witnesses who happened to be present at the scene spoke about how the skier tried to put his brakes but failed miserably as all of his actions went in vain, leading to the poor girl’s critical injuries.

Paramedics rushed to the scene to give her first aid but after seeing the severity of the matter, she was rushed via a helicopter to a nearby hospital. However, she was pronounced dead on arrival as reports spoke about how she passed away while on her way to receive medical treatment.

Now, the man who is responsible for colliding with her has been charged for manslaughter as loved ones grieve over the sudden and tragic loss of the beautiful child.

The victim was identified as 5-year-old Ophelie who was with four other children when the accident took place. She was just enjoying a lesson on the beginner’s side of the ski slope which was colored blue on Saturday morning, as revealed by the prosecutor of the case.

But when she went to turn, the high speeding 40-year-old skier rammed into her in the most horrifying manner, causing her to slam to the ground.
