The parent of the six-year-old shooting suspect who fired gunshots at his teacher is finally breaking her silence.
Sources from local media outlets were quick to mention how the mother began to defend her child and says that he feared that the teacher would confiscate his weapon. And for that reason, he shot her several times in her stomach.
“She was all ready to confiscate his gun. And this is when he shot her. He was scared and so fearful. I can see where he was coming from”- the parent went on to explain in regard to her six-year-old boy’s shocking behavior.
The incident reportedly took place at an elementary school in West Virginia, leaving hundreds shocked at the bizarre and heartbreaking ordeal.
Seeing the teacher being deliberately shot and her falling down to the ground on her knees was witnessed by several other students. And many people couldn’t even begin to imagine what was going on.
They felt no child should ever be forced to witness such a crime and it was just heartbreaking to even imagine.
The incident reportedly took place right after the class had finished reading a story and were now ready to being their art lesson.
But within a span of minutes, things went from happy to sad after the student fired directly at the teacher’s tummy.
Local media outlets went on to detail how the teacher did manage to survive at the end of it all but sustained life-threatening injuries. Right now, her condition is said to be improving.
After the incident, children were seen fleeing to another classroom for safety and that’s where they reportedly remained in lockdown position.
Right now, investigations are taking place to determine where the boy got his gun as the mystery incident continues.
