Johnny Depp’s recent appearance at MTV’s Video Music Awards has not gone unnoticed by many, including former wife Amber Heard’s sister.
According to local media outlets, Whitney Heard was certainly not impressed by both MTV and Johnny Depp because of the way the star behaved. Many felt Johnny’s little cameo was just bizarre and failed to make sense.
Whitney could be seen slamming the actor for being disgusting and clearly desperate. But she also angrily turned on MTV for giving him the green signal to appear after Depp and Heard’s messy and very publicized defamation trial.
The 59-year-old actor could be seen hovering high above the stage as the network’s Moonman logo. Only the star’s face is visible on the helmet.
This marked the actor’s first ever huge public appearance since the trial against his former wife, Amber Heard.
According to sources, Johnny Depp was not actually physically present inside the costume but it was indeed his voice that could be heard mentioning: “I needed the work!”
The last time the actor came out in public with such a major appearance was way back in 2017 when he was invited as a guest on the famed talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The awards show that was held last night in New Jersey certainly left a lot of questions on people’s minds and this appearance was one of them.
Whitney Heard soon took to her account on Instagram to speak her mind on the appearance, slamming MTV for allowing the actor. She also slammed all of those who allowed the act.
“You are disgusting and desperate. I really hope those that made the call does not have any daughters because this is beyond shameful!”- she blasted on social media.
The fuming 34-year-old was also seen sharing another message through her Instagram Story. And that’s where it was written: “I stand with Amber Heard!”
