A mother is celebrating the birth of her miracle twins after delivering them from a 30-year-old frozen embryo.
The news is nothing less than astonishing for various reasons and this couple simply can’t get enough of the fame and love that people are giving them.
Lydia and Timothy Ridgeway are proud parents to twins who would rightly be called an absolute miracle. These two were born a few weeks back and they’ve been the center of attention of so many people for obvious reasons.
The couple has managed to set up a new record for babies that were born from the oldest embryo out there. The delivery reportedly took place in Oregon.
The couple already has four little children and this would make their family grow to six. At first, they were not too hopeful about the results and when the doctors gave them the glad tidings of what was happening, well, it’s safe to say that they were ecstatic beyond words.
Speaking for a recent interview with the Post, the couple says that they were glad they were taking part in a journey where they were saving lives that were trapped. And they feel honored doing something of that sort.
The couple has chosen the oldest available option out there. And seeing the babies for the first time was a moment of pure bliss for them as they wouldn’t have ever imagined that this would be a reality.
The embryo was reportedly taken from National Embryo Donation Center in Tenessee. And it’s a decision that they’re cherishing as we speak. “We never look back. It’s so amazing to know that we could do this for ourselves!”- the new mom revealed.
