Sinead O’Connor’s final words before her death are making rounds on the internet.
The beloved Irish singer and the Nothing Compares 2 U hitmaker died at the age of just 56, her family confirmed in a statement on Wednesday.
The passing comes just over a year after the iconic singer’s teenage son, Shane, took his own life, causing O’Connor’s mental health problems to spiral out of control.
Now, what appears to be the Irishwoman’s final post was revealed.
In her post last week, the singer called her late son the love of her life while admitting she felt “lost” and like an “undead night creature” without him by her side.
Sinead went on to say that her son was the only person in the world who loved her unconditionally as she shared a series of sad music links and dedicated one of them to all mothers of children who died from suicide.
“Been living as undead night creature since. He was the love of my life, the lamp of my soul. We were one soul in two halves. He was the only person who ever loved me unconditionally,” she wrote.
“I am lost in the bardo without him.”
Earlier in July, O’Connor also reached out to her fans saying she had moved back to London and that she was very happy to be back home.
“Hopefully Touring Australia and New Zealand toward end 2024. Europe, USA and other territories beginning early 2025,” she announced in early July.
She also shared a video to prove her identity after some Twitter users questioned her identity when she created a new account.
“I look like s**t. I didn’t want to make a video. But you know, the way your kid unfortunately passing away – it isn’t good for one’s body. Or soul to be fair,” she said.
