An NYPD officer was recently seen punching a 19-year-old woman in the face, as revealed by shocking footage that’s now making viral rounds on social media.
According to local media outlets, the incident reportedly took place on West 136th Street near Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard in Harlem. It was during the later afternoon hours when the horrifying incident occurred.
Viral footage put the altercation on display involving the 19-year-old named Tamani Crum who was seen donning a green-toned skirt. The officer has since then been identified as Kendo Kinsey.
The duo is seen alongside a large and busy crowd of people where officers were trying their best to try and arrest a murder suspect by the name of Elvin James.
But then all of a sudden, Crum comes on forward and starts walking fast up to where the incident was taking place. Kinsey then reacts by appearing to slam the 19-year-old woman, causing her to slam against the pavement. That just goes to show how brutal the impact was, resulting in her falling against the pavement.
In the background, one person can be heard yelling, ‘Why on earth would you do something like that?’ And then another can be heard mentioning, ‘She is just a little girl. You are really wild bro!’
Crum is soon being escorted away by Kinsey and a few other fellow members of the police department.
As of now, the police claim that another person named Faith Harrell has also been arrested since the incident.
Since then, a statement has been released by the New York Police Department. They claim that when the officers were doing their duty and making necessary arrests, that’s when a group began to physically interfere and assault a number of the officers. And among them, one of the cops did receive severe injuries to the head.
Then on Wednesday, the Manhattan Criminal Court was seen sharing Crum with a misdemeanor, and then he was set free without any bail.
