Shocking reports coming in from Florida revealed how the state’s sheriff’s department is actually promoting homeowners to shoot any intruders.
According to local media reports, the department in Florida recently conducted a comprehensive gun safety course for a number of residents. They were more than welcome to tackle home invaders and take the law into their hands by shooting them down.
The news comes as one homeowner made the headlines for shooting an intruder that reportedly stormed into his house and several others in the neighborhood.
Source revealed how the suspect was caught and identified as 32-year-old Brandon J. Harris who is said to have been arrested over the attempted breaking in a matter where a series of homes were involved in Florida.
Thankfully, one brave homeowner was able to stop him in the nick of time, saving his life and assets, alongside several others.
He is believed to have struck the suspect with a series of gunshots as reported recently by the Pensacola Daily News.
Authorities are believed to have received a number of phone calls in regards to the incident where reports confirmed how a suspect was trying to break into the neighborhood and had a weapon as well
The homeowner fired a number of bullets directly at him, taking the suspect by complete surprise in the end.
Cops were able to arrive in the nick of time and arrest the alleged suspect, charging him with attempted burglary as well as assault. He is also facing charges relating to criminal mischief and attempts to resist his arrest.
The country sheriff for Santa Rose, Bob Johnson says he is more than happy and proud to see citizens being brave and shooting intruders. He also concluded by mentioning how so many others should follow in the homeowner’s footsteps to help put an end to crimes like these.
