Prince Harry is shedding light on the last conversation that he and his mother had before her death.
While it may have been 25 years since Princess Diana’s tragic car crash ensued, it feels just like yesterday for the Duke of Duchess. And that’s when it was shared how he felt during these heartbreaking moments.
Harry and William’s bond isn’t exactly where they would have liked it to be but one thing is for sure, their love for their mother will never and can never be forgotten.
Harry was only 12 when the news of his brother’s tragic car crash broke. At the time, he, William, and Charles happened to be on a family holiday with other members of the royal family.
The news tore everyone’s heart apart as this is definitely not something that anyone would have been expecting.
Harry took this moment to recall how his final conversation with Diana, Princess of Wales. He says that his mother had called to check on him and all he could do was cut her short. He was not in the mood to talk for long because he had other things on his mind like playing outside with his friends.
“If only I had known that this moment was going to be short-lived, I would have talked to her longer. I just have so much regret. I wish I could tell her how much I loved her”- he adds.
Harry knows that something can never be changed and the brutal truth of his mother’s last conversation is one of them. But if he could go back in time and change things, he’d definitely make huge amendments to this conversation.
“I don’t necessarily remember what I said but it was not supposed to be the way one speaks to someone for the last time. I will forever regret that”- he continued in a heartbreaking tone.
