Seth Rogen has confirmed the death of a beloved family member in a heartbreaking post on Instagram.
The 41-year-old Canadian-born actor and comedian took his ten million followers by surprise as he shared the tear-jerking news of his dog’s passing.
In his heartfelt caption, the entertainer revealed that Zelda was a most “special” and “magical” creature who passed away at the age of almost 14 years old.
“She was almost 14 years old. She was truly the most special, magical creature,” Seth and wife Lauren Miller wrote.
“She taught us about love, resilience, strength and kindness.”
The post added: “We loved her more than words can describe. Everyone who met her saw what a unique little puppy she was. She’d stare into your soul with her gigantic buggy eyes.
“She was so judgmental, that when she loved you, you really knew you earned it, and it made you feel like you had won.”
Paying a tribute to his beloved dog, Seth went on to say that Zelda had an amazing life and that she was lucky to have many friends and “special love” from so many people.
“She was a girl who was so shy no one adopted her as a baby who became a girl who travelled to multiple countries, appeared in three movies, on two magazine covers, and inspired countless works of Zelda-art— including a lighter that is now in the homes of hundreds of people,” Rogen added.
The grieving couple went on to list several features that made Zelda so special including her intense eye contact, the sounds she made, and the way she loved to wait to be called to pass through metal detectors at the airports.
Our thoughts are with Seth and Lauren during this challenging time.
